Post Christmas Detox!

If you’ve over-indulged over the festive period, feeling sluggish, bloated or just struggling to get moving, try a homemade smoothie to kick start your day! It’s time to say goodbye to those festive pancakes and French toast for breakfast - well at least until after your New Year's party!

Without further ado, we bring you this amazing blueberry and apple smoothie :)

Ingredients

  • 300g fresh blueberries

  • 1 royal gala apple - cored & sliced

  • 200ml almond milk

  • 150g natural yoghurt

  • 20g gluten free porridge oats - optional!

  • 10g flaked almonds

Method

  • Place all the above ingredients into a blender, and blend until smooth

  • Add 50-100ml water, only a little at a time and then blend again to achieve a smooth consistency

  • Divide between two glasses and serve

*if you don't have fresh fruit you can use frozen, just make sure your blender is able to crush ice! If not make sure you defrost the fruit first.
