Spring Cleaning With Fozzles!
Spring will be here before you know it, so today, to make things a little easier for you, I share my top tips for a good spring cleaning!
~ Get rid of unused clothes and those accessories you still haven't got round to using. Make life easier for yourself by organising your wardrobe in the order you get dressed in the morning. You'll save so much time!
~ Give your walls a clean. For stubborn stains apply a little fairy liquid directly onto the stain, but don't rub too hard or you'll have more paint than muck on your cloth. Failing that - get your paint brush out!
~ The quick and easy way for a makeover would be to get rid of your warm dark-coloured winter bedding, towels etc - replace them with light, cooler, fresh coloured linens.
~ If you have carpets, give them a good shampooing! It's probably time to replace that entrance mat!
~ Descale your kettle, iron, washing machine, dishwasher and oven. There's a great guide on how to do this over at www.bosch-home.co.uk/karls-guide-to-descaling.
~ Clean your mirrors & ALL the doors including the exterior ones.
~ Give all your tiles a good clean. For the black bits and stubborn stains, try spraying Astonish Mould and Mildew Remover everywhere and leave it overnight. Wash it down the next day, and if necessary repeat the operation. If you're struggling with grout - call in the professionals!
~ Your stainless steel - really this should be done at least once a week. My advice only use non- abrasive products. The last thing you want is to scratch the surface.
~ Reorganise your bookshelves and get donating (I've just donated 150!). Stop holding on to books you'll never read or no longer need!
~ Time to wash your windows, or get the professionals in.
~ Finally don't forget to dust down your light bulbs.
You can now put the kettle on and enjoy a cup of tea - you deserve it!
I love nothing more than organising my home - freshening it up ready for brighter evenings and hosting springtime afternoon tea! So without further ado, here are my favourite finds to freshen up your home – after your big spring clean of course. Enjoy!
